Delete your Vigilens account

You can do this here, without installing the app. You can also do it in the app, under More → Delete account.

What happens, and when

• At once: you are signed out on every phone, your alerts stop, and your cameras stop recording.
• In 14 days: every camera on your account and who it is shared with, your Vigilens cloud clips, the clip key we hold for you and your encryption choice, your alerts and alert settings, every signed-in phone, your access history and your invite links are deleted. Any camera somebody else shared with you stops being shared with you.
• Changed your mind? Sign in here or in the app within the 14 days and choose Cancel deletion. Everything comes back.

What is kept, and why

We would rather say this here than let you find it later.

• Recordings, events and saved clips on your phones. They are yours and are never deleted from a phone. They open in Vigilens there. To keep copies that play anywhere, open Vigilens on the phone and choose Save my clips to this phone first: they go to Movies/Vigilens. Uninstalling Vigilens locks the rest. This page cannot reach your phones, so saving is done in the app.
• Clips backed up to your own Google Drive. They are in your Drive, not ours. Encrypted ones cannot be opened once the account is deleted.
• Your email address and password, for the older Vizaro app, which shares the sign-in. It no longer opens Vigilens unless you start a new account in the app. To have it removed from Vizaro too, email support@sidefolk.app from the address on the account and we do it within 30 days.
• Any record the older Vizaro app keeps of its own. Those are its records, not ours, and this app does not write to or delete from them.
• The record of which Terms of Use and Privacy Policy you agreed to, and when. It is how we can show the agreement was made; it holds no more than your account id and the two document versions, and is marked as ended.
• Crash reports and usage statistics. They stay, but your account id is removed from them, so they no longer say whose they were.
• If the account is suspended, the suspension. It holds no more than your account id and when it was made, and it stays so that starting the account again with the same email does not lift it.
